Obsoletism: The practice of actively making things obsolete by developing better and less costly options instead of expending energy and resources trying to change or compete with existing products, processes or systems.
For example, GR8TR does not combat bullying, hate and violence. Instead, it endeavors to track public behavior and reward people with positive behavior. Over time, this will become more appealing and less people will do negative things, rendering those behaviors obsolete.
The goals of Obsoletism is to eliminate unnecessary jobs, expenses and barriers to happiness for all people. Also, to reduce the environmental impact by making obsolete things that are not paramount to people living better lives.
This begins with challenging fundamental assumptions at a higher level first and asking why things cannot be changed or eliminated.
Existing systems will try to resist these changes initially. Like any product, belief or procedure that becomes obsolete over time.
The GR8TR Community is committed to helping design and escalate the speed at which older, less fair, less beneficial and more expensive systems fade away. As well as making any form of cruel, abusive or intolerant behavior obsolete.
